Backrooms Cleanup Crew
Jen's Review
Backrooms Cleanup Crew hits a very specific sweet spot in my brain, because first of all: I love the Backrooms. The theory, the lore, the “what even is this place” energy—it’s all big-brain horror fun. And yes, that means I own an embarrassing number of Backrooms games.
This one, though? This one stands out.
Backrooms Cleanup Crew is chaotic, satisfying, and panic-inducing all at the same time. Your role is exactly what the title says: you’re part of the cleanup crew sent in after an exploration team has already gone horribly wrong. Your job is to clean up bodies, equipment, and… uh… demonic writings smeared all over the walls.
And here’s the fun part: Those demonic writings you’re pressure-washing off the walls? Yeah. The demons are still there.
Because what would a Backrooms game be without monsters absolutely ruining your workday while you’re just trying to do your job?
The cleaning mechanics are chef’s kiss levels of satisfying. Pressure washing the walls, clearing the mess—it scratches that “must make things clean” itch perfectly. But the constant chaos, looming threats, and sudden panic moments keep it from ever feeling chill. You’re relaxed one second… and screaming the next.
And to make things even better (or worse, depending on how you look at it): It’s multiplayer. Which means you and your friends can absolutely lose your minds—and your lives—together. Team bonding! Shared trauma! Fun times! 🎉
If you like Backrooms games, enjoy chaotic horror, or just want something that mixes oddly soothing gameplay with absolute terror, Backrooms Cleanup Crew is 100% worth checking out. Just… maybe don’t get too focused on the cleaning. The walls aren’t the only thing watching you. 😬👀
