Blasfemia
Jen's Review
Blasfemia… Blasfemia. Blasfemia. Blasfemia.
What can I say—except that nun can take her creepy self and go somewhere else.
This was one of those games where I genuinely had multiple moments of corner fear. You know the kind—where you slow-walk, hesitate, and mentally prepare yourself because you’re not sure if she is about to be standing there. The atmosphere is oppressive in the best way, and the lore is actually solid and well thought out, which really adds to the unease instead of just relying on cheap scares.
It was a little longer than what I usually play. I clocked about 3.2 hours, and to be fair, probably a solid 30 minutes of that was me just talking to chat and emotionally preparing myself to move forward. But honestly? The pacing worked.
The jumpscares were good (yes, they got me), the gameplay felt smooth, and the puzzles were challenging without crossing into rage-quit territory—which I appreciate more than I can express. Nothing kills fear faster than being stuck on a puzzle that makes you feel dumb.
Overall, I liked this game. I had fun, I was uncomfortable (as intended), and I stayed engaged the whole way through. Is it my all-time favorite horror game? No. But is it a solid, creepy experience that does exactly what it sets out to do? Absolutely.
If you’re looking for a scary game to pass the time and don’t mind a creepy nun living rent-free in your head for a bit, Blasfemia is a good choice. Just… watch the corners. 👀
