Bonanit - A Menorcan Horror Story

Jen's Review

January 4, 2026

Bonanit - A Menorcan Horror Story taps directly into something that genuinely freaks me out: sleep paralysis. If you’ve watched my streams, you probably already know this is a legit fear of mine. I’ve only experienced it once—maybe twice—in my life, but that was more than enough. Absolutely terrifying. Do not recommend.

So when I saw a game centered around sleep paralysis, did I play it? Yes. Did I hate every second of it? …Also yes.

Trying to put my personal bias aside, though—Bonanit is actually a solid game. It blends a sleep paralysis experience with anomaly-style gameplay, and honestly, it works. The concept is interesting, the execution is decent, and it does what it sets out to do.

I can’t really give a fair answer on whether everyone will find it scary, because this fear is very personal. But for me? Yeah. It was absolutely terrifying. The atmosphere alone had me on edge the entire time.

I didn’t end up beating the game—not because it was bad, but because after a couple hours of restarting due to missing anomalies, I eventually rage-quit. That one’s on me and my own limitations, not the game itself.

All things considered, I’d still say give it a shot. It’s a good, well-made experience, especially if you’re into psychological horror or anomaly games—and if sleep paralysis doesn’t already live rent-free in your brain like it does in mine. 😵‍💫👀
