Ghost Janitors
Jen's Review
I picked up Ghost Janitors to play with my bestie Kayla… and let me just say—this game delivered.
Before we even left the lobby, we were already in full chaos mode. Roasting each other, dancing around, and at one point Kayla threatened to write the developers the nicest letter imaginable (and honestly… she meant it). And that was just the lobby.
The game itself is such a fun concept. You play as janitors tasked with cleaning up a haunted house—wiping blood, picking up trash, mopping floors… all while being hunted by demons and other entities that absolutely do not want you there.
And yes—it's exactly as stressful as it sounds.
There’s this constant balance between trying to actually get your tasks done and not getting taken out by whatever is lurking around the corner. The panic ramps up fast, especially when things start going wrong.
And we need to talk about CARRRRLLLLL.
Because trying to clean anything while he’s chasing you down with an axe? Yeah… good luck with that.
It’s genuinely difficult to complete everything without dying, which makes every successful run feel earned—but even when things fall apart, it’s still fun. Honestly, especially when things fall apart.
This is one of those games that’s just better with friends. You’re going to laugh, scream, panic, and probably sabotage each other a little bit along the way—and somehow that just makes it even better.
If you’re looking for a chaotic multiplayer horror experience, Ghost Janitors is an easy recommendation.
You’ll be stressed the entire time… and you’ll love every second of it. 👀
Kayla's Review
So Ghost Janitors was actually recommended to me shortly after its release and I honestly forgot about it because I thought it was just another replication of Phasmophobia. Then, a friend & viewer (shoutout Pioneer AKA Swoleneer!) gifted it to me and I AM SO GLAD SHE DID. I decided to play it one night on stream when I was struggling to decide what to play, and then Jen jumped in with me.
To start, this game’s emote vault? It is absolutely hilarious. How twerking and the middle finger fit into a horror janitor game is beyond me but it also works so well at the same time. It took us about 20 full minutes to even get out of the lobby because we were having a little too much fun with them, and I even said I wanted to write the Dev’s a thank you letter for creating this game 🤣
Ghost Janitors is a horror experience where you are tasked with cleaning up houses- and by cleaning up I mean mopping blood, cleaning off bloody handprints off walls & windows, finding voodoo dolls… the goods. But…. You’re doing so while being haunted and/or chased down by entities that aren’t exactly kind. I got got GOOD within 30 seconds of walking into our first house. Anddd, if you don’t have power and light, you are not safe. At all.
What I loved about this game as far as gameplay is how random it all is- the scares are randomized, the entities you get are randomized, the placement of the generator is randomized and the tasks are randomized. It doesn’t ever become repetitive or redundant, you are ALWAYS on your toes. The game runs super smooth and the overall design and sound design is fantastic.
This game can be played as a single player but I will say- it was TOUGH doing so. And, it’s a LOT of fun playing with friends. Meg ended up jumping in with Jen and I and I haven’t laughed the way I did that night in a LONG time. The way the devs structured the multiplayer experience with spectating after dying, the fact that your friends can find items to perform a ritual to bring you back and you can watch them struggle while being chased trying to find said items, it’s all just done so so well.
A minor note here- don’t test Carl’s gangster, ok? Carl don’t play no games, and Carl has no mercy. Also… Carl is terrifying and rather fast. If you hear or see Carl, you run out of the house, immediately.
Overall this game was a ton of fun and genuinely enjoyable to play. I highly recommend to those that love a good horror game that also brings comedic elements to the table!
