“Ice Cream Shop” was recommended as a ‘Horror’ game on Roblox and had around 80% likes, so naturally I went in thinking, okay, maybe this one’s gonna surprise me.
It did not.
At its core, it looks and plays like any other Roblox job simulator. You’re serving customers ice cream, doing your thing… except there’s one specific woman you’re told NOT to serve. Now listen — the moment a game tells me don’t do something, I’m absolutely doing it.
So yes. I served her. I waited. I prepared myself.
…And nothing happened that made me scream, jump, or even slightly regret my choices.
There were no real jump scares, the atmosphere wasn’t creepy, and it never really leaned into that uncomfortable horror vibe that makes a game stick with you. It just felt… flat. Not scary. Not tense. Just kinda there.
Now — to be fair — this is a Roblox game, and I always try to keep that in mind. I’m not expecting AAA horror or nightmare fuel on the level of PC games. BUT even with that expectation adjusted, this one just didn’t do it for me.
Maybe if I wasn’t so desensitized to horror games, it would hit a little harder… but for me?
This one gets a 4 out of 10.
Not the worst thing I’ve ever played — but definitely not making the board.

I added this one to my play list when I noticed it had a decent amount of reviews on Roblox at 80%. I jumped in thinking maybe this will hit the same as Scary Shawarma, but honestly I was pretty quickly disappointed.
There is no creepy ambiance or sounds, the jumpscares are minimal and almost felt nonexistent, and the game just felt very stale. It does run smoothly and like any other Roblox game…but that’s about it.
Now, maybe I’m just too desensitized and others may find Ice Cream Shop enjoyable. I just didn’t find it to be for my personal taste in horror games or games in general.
