Unhinged Shawarmas
Okay listen — when someone told me to play Scary Shawarma Kiosk, I was NOT prepared. Because in my head I’m thinking, “Roblox… shawarma… how bad could it be?”
I was wrong.
For a Roblox game, this was actually really solid and way more entertaining than I expected. The premise is just unhinged enough to work — you’re serving customers at a sketchy shawarma kiosk while reality slowly unravels around you. And honestly? The gameplay loop of serving customers is weirdly satisfying, which made the jump scares hit even harder because you start getting comfortable. Rookie mistake.
The jump scares? Random. Well-timed. And sometimes Absolutely disrespectful.
Every time I thought I was safe, the game said, “No”.
Now, I’m giving it an 8.5, and here’s why: While the jump scares were GREAT, I personally love horror games that also bring that deep, creeping, nightmare-fuel atmosphere — the kind where you feel uncomfortable even when nothing’s happening. This leaned a little more jump-scare–forward than vibe-heavy, BUT that doesn’t take away from how fun it was.
Would I recommend it? Yes. Would I trust the food there? Absolutely not.

Scary Shawarma Kiosk was my introduction to Roblox, and honestly, it completely shattered my expectations. When I thought of Roblox, I pictured super pixelated, stale, boring games. I don’t know why, that was just the image in my head. I was proven wrong pretty quickly.
The jumpscares impressed me, but the overall functionality of the game impressed me even more. Everything feels well put together and intentionally designed, which isn’t something I expected going in. The scares absolutely work and there were plenty of loud “f%#! off’s” said while playing… so mission accomplished there.
The main reason I landed on an 8.0/10 is that after a while, the game does start to feel a bit repetitive. I wish there was more variety in the characters that come to the window and the actions or scares they bring with them. A little more randomness would push this game even higher.
That said, what IS there works extremely well. If you’re looking for a fun, tense horror experience, especially if you’re new to Roblox like I was, I highly recommend giving Scary Shawarma Kiosk a play!
