The Grinch

The Grinch absolutely blew me away. I’m not exaggerating when I say this does not look, feel, or play like a Fortnite map at all. If you showed this to me out of context, I would’ve sworn it was a fully developed PC horror game made by an actual studio with a whole dev team behind it.

The graphics? Top tier. Clean, detailed, and polished in a way you almost never see in Creative maps. The gameplay? Smooth. Like, shockingly smooth. Nothing felt clunky or janky, and at no point did I think, “Oh yeah, this is Fortnite.” That alone is wild.

Story-wise, yes—it’s based on the Grinch, so it’s not breaking new narrative ground. But it is insanely entertaining. The Grinch’s movement and mannerisms are very reminiscent of Jim Carrey’s version, and it was done so well that it had both me and chat laughing throughout the playthrough. Somehow it manages to balance humor with actual scares, because there are some genuinely solid jumpscares in here—and they absolutely got me more than once (chat witnessed the flailing).

As far as Fortnite maps go, this is top-tier. Like… upper echelon, “how is this even possible in Fortnite” levels of good. If you’re looking for a creative horror experience—especially during the holidays—I highly recommend checking this one out.

Fortnite Creative devs really said, “Let’s go all the way,” and then kept going. 🎄👀
